A SPRAY OF ROMNEYA FLOWERS WITH ST. IVES IN THE BACKGROUND
ELISE BYE-RAWSON Mid-20th Century
Oil on canvas 24 x 20 inches Framed size Signed
Sadly, we are unable to find any information about this talented artist, who seems to have worked in the 1960’s and 70’s. We do know that she lived in or visited Cornwall as this painting has St. Ives in the background. Other paintings by her are of the Clay Pits, St. Just and Cape Cornwall. She painted on canvas and board and signed her work. This wonderfully exuberant image is really original, in composition and technique.
