He exhibited 8 paintings at the Royal Academy including this picture along with ‘View near Newport’ and ‘The entry of Joan of Arc into Orleans’. It is recorded that he also exhibited 2 paintings at Suffolk Street and 1 at the British Institution. He lived in London.
